PhD Open Position

Applications are accepted for two PhD student positions at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (www.uc3m.es):

Hydrogen-powered aircraft model design and climate-optimal aircraft operations using Artificial Intelligence
Model Predictive Control in Turbulent Flows

Specifically, the selected candidates will work in an interdisciplinary environment, and will join respectively the following groups:

the Laboratory of Aeroelastic and Structural Design (https://aero.uc3m.es/asd_lab-home/) with Prof. Rauno Cavallaro and Andrea Cini and the Laboratory of Aeronautical Operations (https://aero.uc3m.es/dynamics-controlaerospace-systems/) with Prof. Manuel Soler;
the Laboratory of Experimental Aerodynamics and Propulsion (https://aero.uc3m.es/experimental-aerodynamics-propulsion-lab/) under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Discetti and Prof. Andrea Meilán Vila (Department of Statistics of UC3M)

The positions will be filled as soon as we find suitable candidates. The contract will start in March/April 2022.
