Applications are accepted for two PhD student positions at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (www.uc3m.es):
- NEXTFLOW-PhD: Design of aeroacoustic-quality jet facility and active flow control solution for noise reduction
- Design and optimisation methodology for hydrogen-powered regional aircraft development and environmental impact assessment
Specifically, the selected candidates will work in an interdisciplinary environment, and will join respectively the following groups:
- the Experimental Aerodynamics and Propulsion Laboratory (https://aero.uc3m.es/eap-lab/), within the Aero Research Group (https://aero.uc3m.es/research/) of UC3M. He/she will work under the supervision of Dr. Stefano Discetti, within the ERC Starting Grant project NEXTFLOW (Next-generation flow diagnostics for control https://erc-nextflow.uc3m.es/).
- the Laboratory of Aeroelastic and Structural Design (https://aero.uc3m.es/asd_lab-home/) with Dr. Andrea Cini and the Laboratory of Experimental Aerodynamics and Propulsion (https://aero.uc3m.es/eap-lab/) with Dr. Marco Raiola ;
The positions will be filled as soon as we find suitable candidates. The contract will start in June/April 2022.
