🏆Fateme Baneshi and Abolfazl Simorgh Honored at ENAIRE Foundation Awards Ceremony for Top Aeronautical Innovation

On January 29, 2024, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility hosted the Awards Ceremony of the ENAIRE Foundation. Our doctoral students, Fateme and Abolfazl, were honored with the Luis Azcárraga Aeronautical Innovation Award.

In the 2023 edition of the ENAIRE Foundation Awards, the prize was bestowed upon the team composed of Fateme Baneshi, Manuel Soler, and Abolfazl Simorgh for their work titled “Conflict assessment and resolution of climate-optimal aircraft trajectories at network scale.”

The jury acknowledged the significant impact of this research on algorithms for planning climate-optimal aircraft trajectories at a network scale. They also recognized the potential application of this work in reducing the carbon footprint of aviation, a crucial aspect in the fight against climate change.
