The call for applications is now open for the Doctoral School’s cross-curricular courses for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
There are several courses available with which you can complement your PhD studies. Some of them are taught in English and others have their lectures in spanish.
Below are the different cross-curricular courses that will be taught during the first semester of this academic year:
English courses with a B2/C1 level required:
- Academic Writing in English
- Dissertation Writing Skills in English
- Practice your Dissertation Writing Skills in English
- Enjoy the Ride: Writing, project management and mindset skills for doctoral students
Spanish courses:
- Trabajo en equipo, colaboración eficaz y gestión del conflicto
- Autogestión emocional eficaz
- Presentaciones eficaces
- Aproximación al Desarrollo Sostenible y a la Agenda 2030
European Patent Office Courses:
- Create-Protect-Innovate: Bringing Ideas to Market (Part 1 Entry level/Part 2 Advanced level)
Who are they aimed at?
The cross-curricular courses of the Doctoral School are aimed at all doctoral students interested in expanding their skills in this area who have received approval from their director. To this end, it is required that the students upload to their application the authorization (English/Spanish) signed with electronic or handwritten signature or a pdf of their advisor e-mail giving their approval.

Relevant information
The application deadline is October 10th for courses starting in October, November and December and EPO´s courses and December 10th for all other courses. In other order of things, registration fees are of 45,02 € per credit, unless otherwise indicated or scholarship discount.
