The Doctoral School organizes the transversal course: Promotion of Soft Skills and their value in the professional environment with the aim of raising awareness of the opportunities offered by completing a PhD and its impact on professional development. During the event, alumni from the different EPS PhD programs will share their personal experiences, explaining how completing their PhD thesis has allowed them to acquire knowledge and skills that have been key in their professional career. In addition, it will have the participation of professionals from the business sector who will offer their perspective on the value that the PhD provides in the business field, highlighting the job opportunities and competitive advantages that this profile offers. The event is especially aimed at master’s and fourth-year undergraduate students who are interested in exploring the PhD as a path of academic and professional development. Relevant aspects such as the different professional opportunities after the PhD and the funding sources available to do it will also be addressed. This activity represents an opportunity to discover how the PhD can become a strategic step for the professional future.
