We are pleased to announce the publication of a novel article by Alberto Solera, a PhD student enrolled in our doctoral program. The article is the result of a collaboration between researchers from Sweden, the United States, and Spain.
The research, titled β-Variational autoencoders and transformers for reduced-order modelling of fluid flows was published in the prestigious venue Nature Communications. The article underscores the importance of a deep learning-based tool, showcasing its potential for the reduced-order modelling of fluid flows. Reduced order models are a key enabler for flow sensing and control. Developments in this field are a milestone in the path towards the improvement of aircraft efficiency, with the aim to reduce emissions.
Congratulations to Alberto and all the coauthors on this remarkable achievement!
